Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus’ last words before ascending into heaven are the heartbeat of what Quenched is looking to accomplish. We are not commanded to make believers, but to make disciples. After a well is drilled and installed through a Quenched pastor partner, he will share the gospel with the community through a well dedication ceremony.

We have found that meeting a physical need like water opens the hearts and minds of the recipients to their spiritual needs that only Jesus can meet. The pastor now has a platform he would not have had without helping with their needs for water. People are now willing to listen to what he has to say. Through this process, we have seen hundreds of people give their lives to Jesus and have their eternal destination forever changed in the few short years we have been doing this work. 

This decision is just the beginning. For those who live in Nepal or India, there are very few Christians around them. Because of this, they may not know what to do next. This is where the Quenched discipleship training process begins. We call it RAD, which stands for Rapidly Advancing Disciples. 

Quenched has trainers and pastors who lead new believers through the process. While in RAD training, believers will learn what it means to follow Christ, how to share their faith, and how to plant and grow a healthy church. This is what it looks like to make disciples in all nations. We teach the believers to effectively reach those around them, so that the church can advance in Nepal and India into the future with limited or no outside support.
